The Commerce Parks Project was born in 2004, when a group of 4th & 5th graders approached the city with the desire to revitalize City Park. Now a city-wide initiative, we're working together to:
. Get new Playground Equipment at City Park . Create a Skate Park at City Park
. Update the City Park's Lighting . Build a Walk Path with fitness stops at Eddie Moore
. Remodel the Restrooms & Concession at the Ball Fields . Build Restrooms at City Park

May 23rd Meeting about Community Build Playscapes

At 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall, Jeanie Putman will be showing a video about how the Community Build Playscape through Leathers and Associates (the playscape company we are looking at using) works.  The public is invited to attend and get involved.  This is a really neat thing to see, we hope to see you there!

The group agreed this is the way to go, so we have formed a Steering Committee. Our Design Day is tentatively scheduled for September 27!!
