The Commerce Parks Project was born in 2004, when a group of 4th & 5th graders approached the city with the desire to revitalize City Park. Now a city-wide initiative, we're working together to:
. Get new Playground Equipment at City Park . Create a Skate Park at City Park
. Update the City Park's Lighting . Build a Walk Path with fitness stops at Eddie Moore
. Remodel the Restrooms & Concession at the Ball Fields . Build Restrooms at City Park

Build Week Volunteers Needed

BUILD WEEK (yea!) will be the week of April 23rd 2008!

We can't wait to make this project a reality for our kids, and, if the response at Design Day is any indication, they can't wait, either! We will need ALL LEVELS of workers to make this happen. If you feel that you are interested in helping out, please contact us!

Design Day!!!

Design Day was a wonderful success: We have a preliminary design from Leather's and Associates, based on the input from the children of Commerce. We will get that image up on this site soon, and revisions will begin.

There was a large turnout for the presentation at First Baptist Church of Commerce (whom we thank for allowing us to meet at their facilities). We just about filled up the fellowship hall, and there were MANY children, who are VERY excited about the progress being made.

$2050 was raised through the donation and raffling of the trailer! Brent Vice, a local fire-fighter, won the trailer, and we thank QWS Express Trailers for the generous donation of the trailer and all of you for buying (and selling) tickets.

Bois d' Arc Bash

Many thanks to everyone who helped out and supported the Commerce Parks Project at the annual Bois d' Arc Bash!

We had a great time, and raised about $900!
